In a valiant but pointless attempt to cheer up their freshly-dumped friend and former Dungeons and Dragons legend, Joe, two enthusiastic Live Action Role Players–Eric, a 27-level Grand Sorcerer in the making, and Hung, a medieval Master Rogue–drag their sad companion to a large-scale LARP campaign in the middle of a forest. However, things will soon spin out of control, as a malevolently cryptic dark incantation from the pages of a seemingly innocent prop book of spells, inadvertently summons a demonic succubus bent on destruction. Now, try to stop a slaughterous extra-dimensional being with several foam sticks and a handful of plastic swords.
I know this movie has had some bad reviews, but honestly it just takes a certain kind of taste, first this is a movie from geeks by geeks, so if you're a geek like me you will absolutely love this movie. Secondly the cast is outstanding, they add just the right amount of role play and then mull it over with reality to pave the way for some really unique situations which you would never otherwise see in any movie. Finally this movie has me thinking of movies like Grandmas Boy and Your Highness. It just has that friends who want to do something together that's completely unconventional but fun at the same time feel. For every geek and nerd out there this is a must see, for everyone else well sorry that you guys don't really get it, if you did you'd have a blast too. 10/10
I struggle to understand how anyone could be disappointed by their experience after viewing this charming geek service. Could anyone possibly settle in for this motion picture viewing with a closed mind? It is titled &quot;Knights Of Badassdom&quot; after all.<br/><br/>Is this a perfect movie? Nope. Our villains are cold and under-developed. Some challenge in our enjoyment arises due to CGI effects that get off to a much weaker start than the SFX events that follow. And I&#39;d be lying if I said that I didn&#39;t have feelings of reluctance when embarking on another film involving a handsome protagonist.<br/><br/>However, this is a movie geared towards geeks. And the idea of being a handsome protagonist who is plucked into an adventure, gets the girl and saves the day(by any sort of unusual means)is every geeks dream. I know that Summer Glau has a tough time being relatable, even human at points(used to her being a robot or killing machine). But I&#39;ll be damned if she isn&#39;t pleasure to behold in every appearance she makes. And to avoid being long-winded, Peter Dinklage, Steve Zahn and Jimmi Simpson are as entertaining and believable as ever.<br/><br/>The toughest conclusion I&#39;ve had to make on this film has been whether it is a B movie. If it is, it is one of the most enjoyable B movies this reviewer has ever seen. Simply put, you should see this flick if your brain has the propensity to read and understand a title like &quot;Knights Of Badassdom&quot;.<br/><br/>Hope this helps.

Knights of Badassdom is a action horror comedy starring Summer Glau and Peter Dinklage in which all hell breaks loose for a group of dungeons and dragons roleplayers, during a dungeons and dragons enactment in the woods, when they discover that a spell book they bought online, is a book that summons demons and they unwittingly unleash a demon from medieval legend, that goes on a rampage in the woods.
